Porcelain can be combined with other materials such as glass and quartz to create a surface known as Dekton.
Plan for ROUGHLY $80-150 per square foot for Dekton countertops plus the cost of labor.
Dekton has a longer life span than other countertop options. Dekton has a 25 year residential warranty.
Your countertop should be able to be measured and installed in 5 weeks.
Dekton is unique in that it is very thin. It can have a mitered edge applied to make it appear thicker.
Dekton is very water resistant.
Dekton is scratch resistant, but can fracture somewhat easily because of its thin characteristcs. Dekton is able to withstand high temperatures, which makes it a great option for islands, fireplaces, and outdoor applications. Dekton is very UV resistant.
Laminate is fairly low maintenance. It doesn't need to be buffed or re-sealed.
Dekton has a long lifespan but is difficult to dispose or recycle. Because of the high pressure needed to manufacture Dekton, it requires significant energy to make.
Dekton is very challenging to install. If you choose Dekton for your surface, we would use our partnering professional installation team.
There are many options of sinks available with Dekton. Because it is a thinner material, support and bracing may be required.
Dekton is manufactured by Cosentino. Laminam is a similar porcelain substance.
